John C. Bruckman, Ph.D.

This highly experienced consultant has worked with senior executives and boards of directors in over 300 organizations in the United States, Europe, South America, Asia and Africa. Dr. Bruckman is the founder and Managing Director of the Change Management Group (CMG). His firm introduces and guides organizations through complex and difficult changes. He specializes in organizational assessments, executive evaluation and development, and change management.  Over the past ten years he has been extensively involved with developing plans to leverage intellectual resources as a strategic initiative.  This includes high potential leadership development and executive coaching programs.  

He also served as Director of Human Resources for the J. Paul Getty Trust; Chairman of the Management and Human Resources Department at California State Polytechnic University, and Senior Management Consultant at Arthur D. Little.  John was one of thirteen Business and Economics professors in the United States to have been selected by the State Department as a Senior Fulbright Scholar in 1979.

He is accredited as one of a limited number of professionals qualified to administer the Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI) developed by Daniel Goleman, Ph.D. and the Hay Group.

He received a B.S. in Industrial Management and Psychology from San Jose State University; an M.B.A. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Southern California; and a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the Wright Institute.  He has completed postdoctoral studies in Industrial Relations at Oxford University and in New Product Development at the Harvard Business School.

Mitchell Lee Marks, Ph.D.

Mitch Marks is an organizational psychologist and an internationally recognized expert on Merger/Acquisition Transition Management, Corporate Culture and Executive Teambuilding. As a motivating and engaging keynote speaker, he has been invited to speak to a wide variety of national conferences. He is a frequent speaker to professional groups and has lectured at the Harvard Business School and Smithsonian Institution.

Mitch consults with a wide variety of firms in the United States and abroad, advising executives on issues of organizational change, team building, strategic direction, organizational effectiveness, corporate culture, human resources management, and the planning and implementation of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other transitions. His clients range from small start-ups to large multinational corporations, as well as not-for-profit organizations. Mitch has advised in over 100 cases of mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other major transitions. From 1981 until 1988, Mitch taught at the California State University and University of California at Irvine, and was founding director of the doctoral program in Organizational Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. His research on organizational change and transition, as well as on employee motivation and productivity, has been recognized in ways including the Outstanding Contribution to Organizational Behavior award from the Academy of Management.

In 1988, Mercer Consulting recruited Mitch to build and lead the Human Resources Management Consulting Practice in its Western Region. He was named National Practice Chair in 1991. In 1993, Mitch joined Delta Consulting Group as Senior Director and, in 1996, launched his independent consulting practice.

Mitch Marks received his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1981, where he conducted the first studies on human and cultural aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other major organizational transitions.

Barbara Kackley, M.B.A.

Barbara Kackley is a director with the Change Management Group and acts as a consultant to secure engagements and coordinate project teams. She is also responsible for the marketing and operational functions of Change Management Group. Barbara participates in organizational survey administration and analysis; proposal and report preparation; special projects, such as market research and strategy; and new product development. At CMG she has been a team member on projects for The Association of Marketing Directors (Uruguay), Coca Cola, Ford Motor Company, General Dynamics, General Motors Europe, Groupe Salomon (France), Hughes Aircraft, IBM, Libbey Glass, Lockheed Aerospace, Nichols Institute, The Toro Company, Taylor Made Golf, Adidas, Callaway Golf, Sun Microsystems, Applied Materials, and Brandes Investment Partners. Upon completing her MBA, Barbara was a commercial lending officer with Bank of America, responsible for a $25 million portfolio of customer loans and investments.

Barbara received an MBA from Claremont Graduate School with an emphasis in marketing; a BS in management and human resources from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She speaks fluent Farsi and Spanish as a result of extensive travel in Iran, Spain and Latin America.
